FISH IN A BOAT
CHALLENGE: Create a sculpture that encompasses the word “WATER.”
IDEA: “Fish in a Boat” does not physically take you to a new destination, but it physically draws you in and changes the atmosphere of this location. And while this boat may not be out on the water experiencing movement- it is the movement of the fish in the boat that moves the water and intrigues the viewer.
RESULT: The stark contrast of the green, ever changing and growing boat against the modern architecture building, students were immediately engaged and intrigued.
This project was later moved to the South Carolina water conservation facility to help education students.
OVERVIEW: Just as you would use a boat to bring yourself to explore marshes, wetlands, rivers, lakes and oceans; the boat now takes on a whole new meaning of bringing you to spectacular views of water.
